iTunes Splurge!

When it comes to music I usually go through spurts where I download about 30 songs in one day and then listen to the same music for the next month and a half. While procrastinating on my homework this weekend, I decided it was time to go on yet another iTunes splurge! Here are some of the songs that I downloaded (and am currently obsessed with)!

Ever since I saw Walk Off the Earth at St. Catharines’ annual Grape and Wine festival this past October, I’ve been in LOVE with their music! While I’m sure most of you are familiar with their hit adaptation of Goyte’s song “Somebody That I Use To Know,” the Burlington, ON based band has TONS of other  amazing songs that deserve equal praise! I downloaded about 5 of their songs yesterday, but Red Hands is one of my new favourites! Check out ‘Gang of Rhythm’ and ‘From Me to You’ as well!

I don’t know what it is about One Republic’s new song ‘Feel Again,’ but every time I hear it I just feel really happy inside! It’s definitely my new favourite song to drive to! So, if you see some crazy girl dancing in her car like a madwoman to this song next time you are out driving….its probably me…..

Okay….this song isn’t exactly recent….but my boyfriend and I have been on a James Bond watching spree leading up to the release of Skyfall and I just cannot get the theme song to Goldfinger out of my head! I literally caught myself singing it at my desk at work one afternoon! It’s undoubtably one of the BEST James Bond theme songs ever!

I’m sure most of you have heard Swedish House Mafia’s latest song on the radio, but I love it so much I just had to include it in this post. This song makes me feel a number of emotions…. One minute I feel upbeat and happy, the next moment I’m feeling nostalgic and sad…I guess that just goes to show you how easily music plays with our emotions!

  1. May I also recommend the following albums for your listening pleasure:
    The Dodos – No Color
    The Lumineers – The Lumineers
Of Monsters and Men – My Head is an animal
The Tallest Man on Earth (all albums)
    Wilco (all albums)

    • I LOVE The Lumineers! I’ve been waiting for their album for months since I first heard Ho Hey used in an episode of a tv show I like! And Of Monsters and Men were one of the bands I downloaded in my splurge this weekend 🙂 I’ll have to check out The Dodos and The Tallest Man on Earth though! Never heard of them before!
