Tea: Toasted Walnut (David’s Tea)
Even though I’ve been drinking and loving this tea since the summer, I somehow forgot to review it on my blog! Toasted Walnut from David’s Tea is a delicious Chinese sencha green tea containing walnuts, hazelnuts, almonds, coconut, and pineapple. Even though this tea is called “Toasted Walnut,” the flavour that I found the most overpowering was hazelnut! Being an absolute lover of all things hazelnut flavoured, I immediately fell in love with this tea! Unlike most green teas, which can have a bitter taste if you accidentally steep it for too long or in water that is too hot, Toasted Walnut always seems to turn out light and sweet tasting.
Rating: 4 Teacups
Book: Forgotten by Catherine McKenzie
Around this time a year ago, I read my first book by Catherine McKenzie and LOVED it (check out my review for Arranged here), so I decided it was time for me to read another book by her! Forgotten is about Emma, a young lawyer with a bright future. When her mother passes away, however, Emma finds herself travelling to Africa to fulfill her mother’s last wishes. Falling ill on her trip, Emma’s four week trip suddenly becomes six months long, with no contact from the outside world. Upon her arrival home, Emma discovers something shocking….everyone thought she was dead! Now Emma’s career is back to square one, her boyfriend is dating someone else, and a strange man is living in her apartment. I started reading this book yesterday and stayed up until 1 a.m. flipping the pages. I really like it so far, and I’m anxious to find out how the romantic tension between Emma and Dominic (the stranger in her apartment) unfolds!
